PROVIDER INQUIRY

We conduct background checks for all household members aged 18 and older. Please be aware that after completing the application process, it may take some time to match a client with your home. We advise you to remain patient and reach out to your intake coordinator via email periodically for any updates.  

 Here are some actions you can take to increase your likelihood of receiving a placement: 

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Enroll in a certified CPR and First Aid class.
• Enroll in a QMAP Class (Medication Administration Certification)
• Make your home available for Respite clients.
• Previous experience as a disability caregiver is advantageous.
• Maintain an available bedroom in their home.
• Possess a genuine interest in aiding others and be open to sharing living space with a new housemate.
• Exhibit strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with family members and a team of professionals.
• Home office equipment such as computer/tablet and a printer.
• Successfully pass background and motor vehicle checks.
